Before Shop-Eat-Surf, there were two sites I paid for premium content on. One is Surfline, the other is the Wall Street Journal. One is about all things surf, the other, the best business content site in the world. Shop-eat-surf is the intersection of those two worlds. Four Star partners with streetwear brand Copy

San Clemente, Calif., (January 25, 2010)— COPY founder Murphy Martines has joined forces with Four Star Distribution, owners of the well-known footwear and apparel skate brand, C1RCA, to develop and grow the men’s streetwear brand, COPY. They have finalized a joint venture agreement that came into effect on January 1st, 2010 and will continue to build upon the company’s present success.

This is the first time that FSD has partnered with a company and with its help COPY will have a rich set of resources for expansion. "We plan to make a substantial investment into the development of the brand," said Arely Benavides, Senior Vice President at FSD. "With Murphy at the helm, we are confident that the COPY brand will reach new heights."

With this new alliance, COPY hopes to take advantage of FSD's operating systems, processes, structure and talented team. FSD’s ability to deliver exceptional product to its customers on time will serve COPY well as the brand continues to expand. FSD has also named Steven Sais as US Sales Manager for the brand. With all of these important fundamentals covered, Martines will have the freedom to continue to do what he does best; design and market the brand.

“Murphy Martines is extremely talented and has built an exceptional brand. We are looking forward to working closely with him in building the COPY brand in the USA and globally,” says Benavides.

Martines stated, “Access to FSD’s expertise will give me the ability to operate the business efficiently and to ship flawlessly. This is a wonderful opportunity and a good fit for a partnership. Working together, we will be able to take COPY to the next level.”

COPY is currently sold in better department and specialty stores.
