I am a big fan of Tiffany and her team as well as an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf. I shop, I eat, I surf -- I should pay.

It pertains to my business

I’m an avid reader of Shop-Eat-Surf because it’s really the only online newsletter that I have found that is not only industry related, but also because it’s not so “guy-centric.” I find that a lot of the information I read on the site pertains to my business (as a swimwear designer) and keeps me up to date on what other companies and other women in the industry in general are doing which is not only inspiring but also helps me gauge the future direction of my business as well.

I feel privileged to read the Executive Edition because I know I am getting insider industry information before it hits the mainstream media channels. And it’s always good to know what my friends are up to in the industry.

Blitz owner Per Welinder sent me this release on Friday announcing Momentum Wheel Co. has joined the Blitz family.

For a more detailed update on Blitz, click here.

Here is the release:

Blitz Distribution is proud to announce a new license partnership with Momentum Wheel Co. Blitz will now be responsible for all international and U.S. distribution for the wheel brand while Ultimate Skateboard Distribution continues to hold down the business in Canada.

Momentum is part owned by pro skater, Rick McCrank and ex-Bones Brigade pro, Kevin Harris, who also owns Ultimate Skateboard Distribution in Richmond, B.C.
"Per Welinder [President of Blitz] and I go way back to being skaters on the famous Bones Brigade in the ‘80s. We've always had a great friendship and business relationship so it was a natural progression to form a partnership bringing Momentum to a bigger market with Blitz," explains Kevin Harris. "We are all looking forward to continued growth and working closely with Blitz in the U.S."

Momentum Wheel Co, based out of Metro Vancouver, B.C., Canada, recently celebrated ten years of producing top quality urethane. Its pro team currently consists of Rick McCrank, Brandon Biebel, Chris Haslam, Corey Sheppard, Toeda Yoshiaki and Jose Rojo while the Momentum am team consists of Mike Barker, Magnus Hanson, Travis Stenger, Morgan Smith and Nate Lacoste.
