- By George Karamitos, CEO, Maui NixMore surf brands hit mid-tier retailers this spring as Hang Ten launches at 30 Kohl's stores in warm weather markets.
Kohl's executives discussed the April launch during an earnings conference call with investors yesterday.
The company previously reported that Quiksilver is working with Kohl's to design the Hang Ten line.
Kohl's announced last June that it struck a licensing deal with American Brand Holdings to become the exclusive retailer of Hang Ten for a wide variety of merchandise.
Building on the successful collaboration with Quiksilver on the Tony Hawk line, also sold at Kohl's, Quiksilver will handle the design and packaging of the clothes and accessories while Kohl's will handle the manufacturing, production, distribution and marketing of the brand.
